Learn about our company culture directly from our team . YOU As a Welder, you represent the final step in the actual fabrication process. This process involves the production welding of various gauges and types of metals to produce parts per drawings and Simpson specifications. This shift is eligible for a $0.75 shift differential.

Requirements

  • Welding program graduate or equivalent experience (AWS certification a plus)
  • Simpson’s welding certification (will certify upon hire) required.
  • Must be able to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) for extended periods of time
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
  • Consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment.
  • Apply customer service principles and processes on the job and with others.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Read and understand blueprints, production drawings and diagrams with the ability to interpret information from work orders applicable to the manufacturing of products.
  • Follows both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies.
  • Able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-ups on welding machines, manual and robot welding, weld parts for both customer specials and stock products under the supervision of a Production Lead /Supervisor.
  • Document inspections as necessary to assure product quality.
  • Develop welding projects, analyze work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; studying metals; determining appropriate welding techniques.
