About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Welder I at their Corporate Headquarters in Moberly, MO. This role involves setting up, operating, and supporting manual MIG/TIG welding stations and robotic welding cells to produce high-quality steel components safely and efficiently. The Welder will use related equipment such as plasma cutters, cutting torches, hydraulic presses, precision drills, and various hand tools for metal preparation and finishing. They will also utilize impact and torque wrenches, clamping fixtures, and precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional integrity and exact torque requirements. Material handling and transport of heavy weldments will involve forklifts, jib, and overhead cranes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
  • At least 2+ years experience as a production worker or similar role in a manufacturing environment or technical degree in machining.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a space that lacks climate control.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of machining centers controls and applications (i.e. HAAS & Okuma)

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components, consistently achieving deep penetration and clean, professional beads.
  • Set up and tack weld assemblies using fixtures and jigs.
  • Remove burrs, slag, and spatter using manual grinding and sanding tools to ensure a high-quality finished surface.
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic cutting and pre-heating torches, as well as manual plasma cutters to prep materials for production.
  • Operate manual drilling press using fixtures to accurately locate drilled features.
  • Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials and completed weldments throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols regarding heavy machinery and high-heat equipment.
