About The Position
We are seeking experienced Flux Core Welders for our facility in Fort Worth. This role involves welding utility poles (monopoles) using .052 and 1/16 wire. This is a second shift position. Upon permanent hire, the pay rate will increase. We offer a retention bonus program for eligible employees after they are hired on permanently and reach certain milestones.
Requirements
- Flux core welding experience with .052 and 1/16 wire.
- Experience with Duel Shield Fluxcore.
- Ability to multitask.
- Comfortable welding while operating a moving machine.
- Proficiency in gouging.
- Experience with flat welding (1F and 1G).
- Ability to pass a weld test including 1G Flat, Double Bevel, 1-inch Plate with Backing Bar, and Bend Test.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience while using a rotator.
Responsibilities
- Flux core welding using .052 and 1/16 wire.
- Welding utility poles (monopoles).
- Operating a moving machine while welding.
- Gouging (removal of material).
- Setting up welding machines with specific parameters (Wire Diameter: .052" & 1/16", Process: Fluxcore, Type: Semiautomatic, Position: Flat (1F), Horizontal (2F), Amps: Range 230-280, Volts: Range 26-31, Technique: Stringer).
- Performing 1G Flat welds with double bevel on 1-inch plate with a backing bar.
- Completing bend tests.
