About The Position
We are seeking experienced Flux Core Welders for our facility in Fort Worth. This role involves welding utility poles (monopoles) using .052 and 1/16 wire. This is a second shift position. The pay starts at $21.00 per hour and increases to $25.00 per hour once hired permanently. A retention bonus is available for eligible associates after being hired on permanently and reaching 30 and 180 days of employment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Flux Core welding with .052 and 1/16 wire sizes.
- Experience with Duel Shield Fluxcore.
- Ability to multitask.
- Comfortable welding while operating a moving machine.
- Knowledge of gouging.
- Experience with 1G (Groove weld) and 1F (Fillet weld) positions.
- Familiarity with welding machine setup: Wire Diameter: .052" & 1/16", Process: Fluxcore, Type: Semiautomatic, Position: Flat (1F), Horizontal (2F), Amps: Range 230-280, Volts: Range 26-31, Technique: Stringer.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience while using a rotator.
Responsibilities
- Welding utility poles (monopoles) using Flux Core welding processes.
- Operating and welding with a moving machine.
- Gouging (removal of material).
- Performing 1G (Groove weld) and 1F (Fillet weld) positions.
- Setting up welding machines with specific parameters for wire diameter, process, position, amps, and volts.
- Utilizing stringer bead technique.
