About The Position

This occupation requires knowledge in basic welding skills, GTAW and GMA.W. Perform such operations as help fit welding assemblies and do basic welding on Assemblies. Able to read basic blueprints. This occupation requires performing manual tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending and considerable time standing.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a welder, or a certificate from welding trade school or ROP type program.
• 2+ years of experience as a welder
• Experience in assisting fabrication of parts to engineering drawings.
• Fabricate parts with supervision.
• Be willing to work at assigned jobs in or outside the welding field.
• All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a (i) citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) a lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. “Green Card Holder”); or (iii) a person admitted to the United States as a refugee, or granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Able to read basic blueprints
• Assist Journeyman Welder fit and weld assemblies.
• Weld assemblies and use fixtures to assemble parts.
• Apply welds using the TIG & MIG method.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
• Must have own welding hood.
• Operate various hand grinders.
• Other duties as needed.
