About The Position

American Bin and Conveyor LLC is seeking Fabrication Welder/Fitters to join their 1st-shift manufacturing team in Burlington, Wisconsin. In this role, you will work from fabrication drawings to lay out, fit, and weld structural steel components for custom conveyors, structures, and bulk material handling equipment. This is a multi-skilled fabrication position that requires attention to detail, strong measuring skills, and the ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.

Requirements

• Previous on-the-job welding and/or steel fabrication experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or industrial shop environment preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting fabrication drawings/blueprints.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Experience with layout, measuring and fitting steel components.
• Ability to inspect fabricated parts prior to welding.
• Fitting and structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Overhead crane and rigging experience preferred.
• AWS D1.1 welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Measure, layout, fit and tack steel components.
• Weld in flat, vertical and overhead positions to produce completed assemblies according to fabrication drawings.
• Use grinders, torches and common fabrication tools.
• Inspect work for proper fit, dimensions, weld quality and defects.
• Safely move and position steel components and fabricated assemblies.
• Follow company safety policies, quality requirements and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
