About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter / Welder to join our fabrication team. You will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding metal components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a fitter, welder, fabricator, or similar role
- Experience with MIG, TIG, or stick welding
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Ability to use basic measuring tools
- Knowledge of metal fabrication and welding processes
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions
- Fit, align, and assemble structural metal components
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication
- Operate welding machines, grinders, drills, and other fabrication tools
- Inspect welds and assemblies for quality, fit, and accuracy
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and meet production schedules
