Welder/Fabricator 1 or 2- CSP
About The Position
This is an entry-level welding position responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. All work will be completed with close supervision. The role requires embracing company values, following safety and quality standards, and learning company policies and procedures. The Welder I will work on basic manufacturing assignments with set standards, follow detailed instructions, and solve simple problems with minimal judgment. Responsibilities include performing measurements within specified tolerances, learning to read blueprints, working safely and accurately with others, and maintaining prompt and dependable attendance. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
- Able to fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
- Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
- Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
- General knowledge of equipment and operations.
- Basic understanding of weld symbols.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
- The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of welding experience preferred.
