About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. This is an entry-level welding position, with work completed under close supervision. The position is located in West Fargo, North Dakota, and works Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., with overtime as needed. Pay is $23.50–$26.00+ per hour, depending on experience, plus a $2 shift differential and a full benefits package.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to read a tape measure in imperial and metric units.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for one's actions.
• Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve problems or reach goals.
• Dependable and trustworthy conduct.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.

• Complete basic manufacturing assignments according to established standards.
• Follow detailed instructions while closely observed by a supervisor or lead.
• Resolve simple, non-complex issues requiring little judgment.
• Perform measurements within specified tolerances.
• Learn to read blueprints.
• Work safely and accurately, and work effectively with others.
• Maintain prompt and dependable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
• Fit and weld subassemblies using tack or spot welds.
• Identify materials and use, set up, and maintain welding equipment.
