About The Position

Waste Connections of Iowa is seeking a safety-conscious Welder/Container Delivery Truck Driver to join their growing team in Des Moines, Iowa. The company is looking for individuals to grow with them and offers training and assistance for obtaining a CDL, including paying for the CDL. This role involves performing welding and repair of trash containers and compactors, maintaining a safe work area, and communicating repair needs to customers.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in Stick and MIG welding.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Class B CDL preferred but willing to train and assist with CDL.

Nice To Haves

Experience in PLC's and electrical is a plus.
Fabrication experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform welding and repair of trash containers and compactors.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks directly with customers.
