About The Position

An ISO / Tank Container Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks related to the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of ISO containers used for the storage and transport of liquids, gases, and chemicals. This role requires advanced welding skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, as an ISO / Tank Container must adhere to strict industry standards for strength, durability, and leak prevention.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or relevant technical training is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in welding, particularly with ISO / Tank containers, pressure vessels, or industrial tanks.
  • Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and Aluminum).
  • Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures, including handling hazardous materials and gases.
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work in various positions (standing, kneeling, etc.) for extended periods and welding from those positions as well.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate adequate welding capability before considered for a position
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals used in ISO / Tank Container construction and repair.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Repair leaks, cracks, and other damages to meet industry standards (IMDG, DOT, ITCO).
  • Conduct inspections to ensure weld quality and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate and maintain welding tools, machinery, and safety equipment.
  • Collaborate with regulatory inspectors and quality control teams to address any welding-related issues.
  • Follow company safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and gases.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the welding workspace.
  • Document completed work and repairs, maintaining detailed records for regulatory and internal review.
