About The Position
The Welder Combo 1 lays out, aligns, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipe, following blueprints and metallurgy. The role includes installing, modifying, and repairing industrial equipment and piping, and welding pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and repair pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums.
- Set up equipment and weld pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
- Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Produce quality work with reasonable efficiency.
- Perform simple piping installations and repairs.
- Assist other mechanics.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
