About The Position

The Welder Combo 1 lays out, aligns, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, including machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy. The role includes installing, modifying, and repairing industrial equipment and piping, setting up welding equipment, and producing quality work with reasonable efficiency. The Welder Combo 1 may also assist other mechanics and perform additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums.
• Set up equipment and weld pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Produce quality work with reasonable efficiency.
• Perform simple piping installations and repairs.
• Assist other mechanics.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
