About The Position

Under direct supervision, this role welds metal parts together. The position involves performing simple, routine, and repetitive welding tasks using standard procedures, tools, and equipment. Welds components and parts from standard materials. Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor. All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member. Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.

Requirements

• Ability to read precision measuring tools is required.
• Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or on-the-job training.
• Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required.
• All welders must install 60 pounds spools of wire on own welding equipment, as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of welding techniques, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is preferred.
