About The Position

The Welder/Assembler position is responsible for MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts to create a tank to be mounted on a truck chassis. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and safety protocols. The position involves fabricating and assembling components with a focus on quality and cosmetic detail.

Requirements

Proven experience in conducting quality inspections
Strategic thinker and strong analytical skills
Good eye for detail and understand quality levels set for tank construction
Analyze problems, detect root causes and resolve all issues
Excellent time management, planning, organization and prioritization skills
Self-motivator with solid interpersonal skills, achievement oriented
Be aware of Health and Safety standards and their implication in the workplace
PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Diploma or Certificate of welding school or at least one year of equivalent work experience welding similar materials using GTAW/GMAW process

Responsibilities

MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts
Create a tank to be mounted on a truck chassis
Hand plasma cutting
Fitting assemblies to weld
Tubing and fitting welding
Confined space welding, 30-45 minutes per task
Welding with quality and attention to cosmetic detail
Read and understand Blueprints
Work Safely and Maintain clean and organized work area
Operate Miller and Lincoln welding equipment
Operate lifting equipment
Operate standard fabrication equipment such as horizontal saw, drill press, grinders
Operate plasma cutter, cutting torch, and hand saws
Perform quality checks on finished assemblies
Fabricate minor brackets as needed
Adhere to all company safety and operation policies
Use established construction techniques to build tanks
