About The Position

J.H. Fletcher & Co., a worldwide leader in the manufacture of heavy mobile machinery, has a job opening for Welders and Assemblers. Mechanically inclined individuals are needed, and some on-the-job training will be provided. These positions will be responsible for welding components and assembling machines/components of machines. The job will be located in Huntington, West Virginia. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined individuals
• Ability to pass the Fletcher welding certification
• Collaborative work style with the ability to work independently
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

• 2-5 years previous experience in assembly, production, and/or welding with ability to demonstrate skills.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Welding skills
• Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical, and diesel engines are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welding components
• Assembling machines/components of machines
• Regularly operate grinders, sanders, wrenches, hammers, forklifts, cranes, and more.
