About The Position
As a Welder 2 at MKS, you will partner with the Welding department, Engineering, and Quality Control to fabricate MKS products. You will report to the Welding Supervisor. The role involves fabricating custom products and modifying products to customer and engineering specifications. You will plan, lay out, and perform welding on stainless-steel valves, gauges, and other components, and complete fabrication and assembly welding using blueprints and verbal or written instructions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- TIG welding experience.
- Ability to use complicated drawings and specifications, advanced mathematics, precision measuring instruments, and trade knowledge equivalent to training in a formal apprenticeship program.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom products and modify products to customer specifications.
- Plan, lay out, and perform welding on a variety of stainless-steel valves, gauges, and other components.
- Work with engineers on custom product design for production.
- Complete fabrication and assembly welding from blueprints and verbal or written instructions.
- Modify standard valves and components according to application and engineering specifications.
