About The Position

The Latham MR Magnets facility is a manufacturing and development site for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets and other superconducting products used in Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging and other customers. This is an onsite role that will cover 3rd shift hours from 11:20pm-7:30am. We are a health technology company. Requirements

1+ years of welding experience.
Experience using mechanical assembly tools.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to create high quality TIG and Mig welds.
Ability to perform excellent vacuum leak tight TIG welds on aluminum.
Ability to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
Ability to read and write to follow documentation assembly procedures and sign off documentation as required.

Responsibilities

Perform precise high-quality TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel.
Run an automated welding cell by confidently operating and overseeing a robotic welding system.
Set up the equipment, monitor its performance, and make adjustments to ensure each weld meets quality standards and handle routine maintenance.
Cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations as required to fabricate intricate assemblies encountered in cryogenic applications.
Read and understand drawings and supporting documents.
Use precision instruments.
