About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a leading North American manufacturer of structural wind towers, focused on excellence and providing premier value to customers. The Weld Technician is a crucial resource for general manufacturing safety principles and welding-specific safety requirements. The technician trains, instructs, and tests welders in metal joining and machine operation. Using jigs and fixtures, the technician lays out pieces for welding according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders, and uses manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal or other weldable materials. The role may also involve inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications and performing minor equipment maintenance. The position is based in Belen, New Mexico, and is hourly. The successful candidate will need to be available for all four shifts. Work takes place in plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds. The facility operates four shifts and has frequent weekend shifts. Work or maintenance coverage may extend beyond normal hours or shifts and may include weekends and holidays.
