As part of our involvement, Jefferson Industries Corporation offers design and development for press dies and other tools necessary to produce automotive products. We embrace programs for product development including product design review and Advanced Product Quality Planning. Our facilities support high quality product manufacturing, and we provide a timely and flexible approach to meeting the needs of our customers. We are actively seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Robotic Weld Maintenance Department on 2nd Shift (core schedule, Monday through Thursday 4:00 pm to 12:30 am; and Friday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am)

Requirements

Possess skills to communicate with Associates, management team, other department managers and senior management.
Strong communication skills to provide direction and motivation to team members.
Able to motivate Technicians and team members to keep process and equipment in good condition to assure smooth running operation.
Able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in identifying defects and solving problems with equipment and process to avoid missed quality, delivery or safety concerns.
Develop task list and assure on-time implementation of tasks.
Able to operate with basic computer skills, including preparing memos and responding to email.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Twelve to thirty-six months related experience.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent to draw and interpret mathematical data and graphs.

Responsibilities

Support production in meeting daily requirements by repairing and improving production equipment.
Preventative maintenance coordination

Quality index monitoring
Monitor and enforce all safety policies and procedures of all associates at JIC.
Identify safety violations and correct as needed.
Fill out appropriate paper work when a safety incident occurs.
Report all safety incidents to department manager.
Lead investigation to determine root cause and develop countermeasure for safety incidents.
Monitor and enforce 5S within the maintenance department.
Ensure all technicians work areas including their tool box should be free from clutter.
Check maintenance area on a daily basis.
Lead investigation into quality related incidents, internally and externally, determine root cause and develop counter measure.
Implement quality improvements horizontally if possible.
Identify weak equipment design and develop improvements to reduce quality related incidents.
Monitor spare part usage, identify high usage items and research alternatives to reduce cost.
Monitor monthly sensor usage.
Investigate sensor failures and develop countermeasures.
Verify needed spare parts are on hand.
Assist technicians with ordering necessary spare parts.
Lead and maintain dry ice program.
Lead and maintain robot greasing program.
Lead and maintain Preventative Maintenance program.
Perform PM Completion rate analysis on a monthly basis.
Lead and maintain Robot program back up program.
Daily walk through weld shop.
Communicate items from department shift note to all technicians.
Assign tasks, follow up and work orders.
Verify completion of these tasks.
Assist technicians with any training needed to maintain technician’s skill and knowledge to make necessary equipment repairs and improvements.
Perform technician evaluations 1/yr.
Develop work instructions for tasks within the maintenance department.
Administer JIC coaching/counseling as described in company handbook.
Fill out daily shift note at end of shift.
Review 1st and 2nd shift note at beginning of shift.
Maintain 3rd shift time sheet.
Turn in time sheet to associate relations as soon as possible.
Other duties as assigned.
