About The Position
The Narmco Group is seeking a Weld Destruct Technician. This role requires a candidate with experience in the automotive industry, specifically with knowledge of various welding techniques including projection weld, resistance weld, and arc (MIG) weld. The technician will be responsible for performing destructive testing on welds and will report to the Quality Manager.
Requirements
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience/knowledge of welding, projection weld, resistance weld, and arc (MIG) weld.
- Ability to use plasma cutter, air hammer chisels, pushout and pull testers, saws, hand gages (Vernier, micrometers, torque wrenches).
- Ability to learn non-destructive testing equipment.
- Basic computer skills (Word and Excel).
- Some knowledge of blueprint reading.
Responsibilities
- Perform destructive testing on welds.
- Operate plasma cutters, air hammer chisels, pushout and pull testers, and saws.
- Utilize hand gauges such as Vernier, micrometers, and torque wrenches.
- Learn to operate non-destructive testing equipment.
- Perform basic computer tasks using Word and Excel.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
