About The Position

Foster Farms is hiring a Weigh & Price/Over Crew team member for a swing shift. The role involves removing packages from baskets and placing them on infeed belts leading to pre-price scales, stacking empty baskets and dividers, and keeping work areas clean and orderly. Team members move wheeled racks stacked seven baskets high and weighing 200–400 pounds, and repeatedly lift, push, and/or pull up to 80 pounds. Work takes place in cold conditions, with freezer gear provided. The position supports quality and food safety compliance with company standards and USDA regulatory requirements. Employees are expected to follow established rules, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety procedures; work safely; and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and lead personnel. The starting pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with applicable shift, longevity, and attendance premiums.

Requirements

Report to work regularly and on time, and work all required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
Understand and follow established rules and procedures and accept constructive feedback.
Walk and stand on concrete floors, grating, or metal stands in a cold environment for prolonged periods.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

Remove packages from baskets and place them on infeed belts to pre-price scales.
Stack empty baskets and dividers.
Keep work areas clean and orderly.
Move wheeled racks seven baskets high weighing between 200 and 400 pounds.
Repeatedly lift, push, and/or pull up to 80 pounds.
Maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
Follow established rules, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety procedures.
Work safely and set an example of good safety habits.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision and lead personnel.
