About The Position
Anna Maria of Aurora is seeking a dependable, compassionate Weekend Warrior Cook to join our dining services team in our long-term care and assisted living community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in preparing nutritious meals, and wants to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents. You’ll work primarily on weekends while also having one weekday shift each week. Schedule: Full-Time | 4 days per week - No Late nights! Friday, Saturday, Sunday, One weekday. Additional pay offered for weekend shifts!
Requirements
- Previous cooking or food service experience required
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and therapeutic diet requirements
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain required logs
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation
- Assist with kitchen preparation and organization
- Prepare meals in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow portion control and dietary guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Assist with setting up and cleaning dining areas
- Work cooperatively with the dining services team
- Help provide a pleasant dining experience for our residents
