About The Position
Marshall Healthcare Facility is a 64-bed skilled and long-term care facility located in Machias, Maine. We are introducing an exclusive Weekend Warrior Program for newly hired Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s) in our nursing department. This program offers a unique opportunity to maximize earning potential while keeping weekdays free. By committing to care for residents over 26 consecutive weekends (six months), participants will receive premium pay, comprehensive benefits, and career advancement opportunities. Requirements
- Active placement on the Maine C.N.A. Registry as a graduate of a state-approved program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy/physiology.
- Familiarity with computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Strong multi-tasking, communication skills, and a friendly "bedside manner."
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Supporting nutrition: serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
- Monitoring health: checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
- Documenting care accurately and maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality.
