About The Position

Support Staff is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison. The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency and the profession as a whole. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • No experience required
  • Experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work.
  • Knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnosis within the RRP programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in advocacy skills and case management skills.
  • Ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Support Staff is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and service notes.
  • Medication monitoring and education to support self-dosing of medication.
  • Teaching community skills including ADLs as needed in both individual and group settings.
  • Assist in the transportation of clients between residences, office, and community locations as needed.
  • Assist the Rehabilitation Counselors and other staff as needed.
  • Maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training.
  • Abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility.
  • Responsible for carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of Key Point.
  • Perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • May be responsible for scheduling client appointments as needed and coordinating with treatment team members.
