About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Madison Reserve community in the London, Ohio area. Install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and pick up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be performed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the respective deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Directed provides the signs and stakes, along with replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups, store signs and extra stakes safely during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance; provide their own vehicle and mobile device; and determine their own driving order. Routes are recurring each weekend, but contractors may accept or decline routes and must complete routes they commit to within the specified time windows. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The posting also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. Additional work may be offered as it becomes available.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app.
Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Provide your own vehicle and mobile device and cover your own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week.
