About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Cainhoy Preserve community in the Mt Pleasant, SC area. Contractors install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then pick up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be done at any time within each window, provided all signs are placed and removed by the specified deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic installed on wooden stakes. Directed provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations, safely store signs and extra stakes during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device, determine their driving order, and are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. Routes may be accepted or declined, but any accepted route must be completed within the stated time windows. The work is recurring each weekend and offers flexible supplemental income, with no benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees. Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The posting also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. The stated starting pay is for the current work available in this location; additional work may be offered as it becomes available.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Provide a vehicle and mobile device and cover personal fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance as an independent contractor.

Responsibilities

Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
Use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations.
Safely store signs and extra stakes during the week.
