Weekend Sign Installer - Reidville, SC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Reidville Villas community in Reidville, South Carolina. The contractor installs signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then picks up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within each window, provided all signs are placed and removed by the stated deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct supplies the signs and stakes, including replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use their own vehicle and smartphone, choose their own driving order, and complete the route within the required windows. The work recurs each weekend and is performed independently. This is a 1099 independent contractor position; contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. There are no benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete any route they commit to.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
- At least 18 years old.
- Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- An Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
- Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Dependability and ability to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Responsibilities
- Use Artisan Direct's mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations.
- Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
- Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
- Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week.
- Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the website after completing pickup.
- Complete committed routes within the required placement and pickup windows.
