Bridges Hospice is growing and seeking a compassionate Part-Time Weekend RN to join our amazing weekend support team. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license and valid driver’s license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic math proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of recent hospice experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate weekend support and hospice nursing care to patients and families
  • Perform emergent visits and admissions as directed by the hospice triage nurse
  • Complete scheduled visits for transitioning hospice patients
  • Assess patient needs with a focus on pain management and symptom control
  • Communicate significant findings, changes in condition, and patient concerns to physicians, the on-call Administrator, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Obtain physician orders as needed
  • Support patients and families with empathy, professionalism, and clinical excellence
