About The Position
Silver Elm Senior Living Apartments in Norman, Oklahoma, is seeking a part-time Weekend Resident Assistant to assist residents in its 110-unit senior living community. The role is scheduled from 4 p.m. to midnight and reports to the Property Manager. Compensation is $17.00 per hour, subject to adjustment for onsite living. Employees who live onsite receive a 25% rent discount.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- An outgoing personality and enjoyment of working with people with a high degree of compassion.
- Basic caregiving skills.
- Ability to multitask daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
- Keep the front desk, resident activity room, TV room, and mail room clean.
- Assist with food deliveries to residents' rooms.
- Monitor the phone and call system for residents requiring immediate assistance.
- Assist with resident functions as requested.
- Control interior building lighting during daylight and evening hours.
- Check entrance and exit door locks.
- Collect and remove trash as directed.
