About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is hiring dependable, experienced animal professionals for weekend dog walking and pet sitting positions in the Providence, RI area. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for active, ongoing weekend pet care work with an established professional company that values reliability, communication, continued education, and high-quality care standards. Applicants are not expected to work every service block, but selected blocks should remain consistently available. The more recurring coverage blocks an applicant is available for, the greater the opportunity for scheduling, client assignments, and increased hours. Additional weekday opportunities are available for weekend team members seeking additional hours. Our scheduling model prioritizes consistency for both pets and clients, so limited, highly restricted, or fragmented weekend availability may not be the best fit for current openings. Team members are responsible for managing their travel routes between visits and arriving reliably and on time to assigned appointments.
Requirements
- Prior professional animal care experience required (6 months–1 year minimum required).
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun).
- Dependable, responsive, organized, and experienced working independently.
- Live locally within Providence, RI or within approximately 10–15 minutes of the area.
- Comfortable working within an assigned schedule based on business demand.
Nice To Haves
- Professional animal experience (pet sitting, veterinary, shelter, daycare, grooming, training, etc.).
- Vet techs, dog trainers, pre-vet students, dog groomers, animal rescue workers, kennel staff, daycare attendants, and animal care technicians are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekend dog walking and pet sitting services.
