About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is hiring dependable, experienced animal professionals for dog walking and pet sitting positions in the Providence area. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for active, ongoing pet care work with an established professional company that values reliability, communication, continued education, and high-quality care standards. The role involves providing consistent recurring coverage for various service blocks, including weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends. Applicants should have consistent recurring availability for one or more designated service blocks and be able to manage travel routes between client homes. Scheduling assignments are based on client demand and business needs, requiring team members to manage their travel and arrive reliably on time. Newly hired team members begin at the Pet Care Trainee level while completing onboarding and learning company systems and protocols.
Requirements
- Prior professional animal care experience required (6 months–1 year minimum required).
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Consistent recurring availability for one or more designated service blocks (weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, and/or weekends).
- Live locally within Providence RI or within approximately 10–15 minutes of the area.
Nice To Haves
- Professional animal experience (pet sitting, veterinary, shelter, daycare, grooming, training, etc.).
- Dependable, responsive, organized, and experienced working independently.
- Comfortable working within an assigned schedule based on business demand.
- Vet techs, dog trainers, pre-vet students, dog groomers, animal rescue workers, kennel staff, daycare attendants, and animal care technicians are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
