About The Position
Looking for a fun weekend job where you can make a difference? Lakewood Reserve is looking for a fun, energetic, patient, and outgoing Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team on weekends only! This isn’t your typical weekend job. You might spend your shift hosting a dance party, doing arts and crafts, playing games, baking, enjoying the outdoors, listening to favorite songs, or simply sharing laughs and meaningful moments with our residents. In Memory Care, the little moments can mean everything, and we're looking for someone who can bring energy, creativity, and FUN to our residents' weekends! Stellar Senior Living is a premier assisted living and memory care provider throughout the Western United States. Lakewood Reserve is one of our vibrant senior living communities, and we believe weekends should be just as engaging and meaningful as every other day of the week!
Requirements
- Memory Care experience is strongly preferred
- Must be available to work weekends
- Experience working with seniors and understanding their unique needs
- Fun, friendly, patient, and outgoing personality
- Dependable and reliable
- Comfortable leading group activities and providing one-on-one engagement
- Creative, energetic, and willing to bring new ideas
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Comfortable working with residents living with dementia and memory loss
- Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, including tables and chairs
- Able to obtain/maintain a Food Handler's Permit

Responsibilities
- Lead games, trivia, and brain activities
- Host music, dancing, and sing-alongs
- Create fun arts and crafts projects
- Lead gentle exercise and movement activities
- Bake or cook with residents
- Host parties, celebrations, and themed events
- Enjoy outdoor activities and walks
- Create sensory and reminiscing activities
- Provide meaningful one-on-one engagement
- Get to know residents' interests, stories, and favorite things
- Bring your own creative ideas to make weekends FUN!
