About The Position

Auburn Manor is hiring multiple Life Enrichment Assistants to join their team. These benefit-eligible positions offer 30-40 hours per week and a great benefits package. This position will be specifically focused on creating engaging, person-centered programs for their Memory Care residents. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and passionate about bringing joy and meaningful experiences to older adults. A willingness to learn and obtain knowledge in art, music, recreation therapy, or memory care is a plus. The right person is compassionate, dependable, creative, and excited to help residents stay active, connected, and engaged. • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to efficiently utilize common word processing, electronic calendars, email and other required CPU programs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or education in art, music, recreation therapy, or memory care.
• Willingness to learn and obtain the knowledge in art, music, recreation therapy, or memory care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, conduct, and promote recreational activities within and/or outside the Center, which includes crafts, entertainment, trips, and regular social events.
• Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with residents and family members / personal representatives.
• Responsible for maintaining a positive image of Auburn Homes in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
• Interact with residents on a daily basis to identify their social, recreational needs and interests.
• Provides management of the wellness center and coordinates wellness programs across the campus.
• Responsible for the purchasing of necessary supplies.
• Coordinate annual events and/or special events.
• Will support Life Enrichment Director in recruitment, training, retention and management of volunteers.
• Function effectively with other service agencies to provide different program opportunities or services.
• Gather information and prepare articles for the monthly newsletter.
• Performs other similar duties, as needed.
