About The Position

This position is a key member of the Chief Seattle Club Day Center and is the first point of contact for anyone entering the Day Center. The employee will manage and monitor the front lobby and front door, direct members, visitors, and staff to the appropriate locations. This role involves checking in members, enrolling new members, and collecting various documents. The position also includes answering phone calls, sending emails, and communicating with staff through Microsoft Teams, all while managing mail, check-ins, and various requests. Additionally, the coordinator will interact with members during events and attend all staff and applicable meetings and trainings.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, face to face and over the phone.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively with de-escalation.
  • Strong computer skills, with experience working in Clarity/HMIS, Excel, SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
  • Culturally competent with an understanding of trauma informed care, secondhand trauma, generational trauma, internalized racism, colorism and how these effect the Native community and our members.
  • Ability to work at a stationary work space for long periods of time, with mobility to move throughout the Day Center.
  • Ability to use a PC, constantly reaching with hands and fingers and keyboarding extensively.
  • Ability to work within Microsoft Teams as frequent communication is required, including use of the telephone.
  • Ability to read and write documents in hard and electronic copy, including those requiring great attention to detail.
  • Physical strength and agility to handle routine office tasks and machinery.
  • Ability to manage high stress situations while also keeping front lobby foot traffic moving.
  • Ability to use desktop business equipment.
  • Ability to manage frequent telephone calls.
  • Ability to monitor security cameras and the front doorbell for entry.
