About The Position

The Weekend Forming Operator is responsible for operating forming machinery, ensuring the machine runs smoothly, performing basic maintenance, and making necessary mechanical changes. This role ensures that products meet quality standards before moving to the next department. The Operator levels range from 1 to 3, reflecting increasing responsibilities and technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Read, write, and be conversant in the English language.
  • Ability to perform basic computerized time clock data entry.
  • Team oriented with a strong level of independence.
  • Detailed oriented with strong attention for accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Runs product through forming machinery, which may include cutting, knifing, band sawing, deburring, sanding, cleaning, and/or packaging each product as needed.
  • Follows Process Instructions and ensures ATI process and quality standards are met.
  • Loads and unloads mold forming fixtures and parts with assistance from Material Handler and forklift.
  • Uses router and/or band saw to trim parts.
  • Ensures a clean workstation using broom and dustpan and/or compressed air each day.
  • Performs general maintenance and mechanical changes of equipment with assistance under direct supervision.
  • Accurately reads, records, and uses calipers, height gauges, Vernier calipers, and micrometers.
  • Records necessary information for output monitoring, quality verification, and production reporting.
  • Accurately enters production job and punches into and out of database system.
  • Communicates “out of tolerance” conditions and documentation discrepancies to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Follows and practices safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
