The Director of Scheduling is responsible for building and maintaining an all-inclusive schedule for the company. In this role, you will need to maintain excellent response times to schedule changes and actively problem solve to always acquire an adequate number of trucks (BLS and ALS) on the road. Ensure that all locations are properly staffed with Emergency Personnel (EMTs, EVOs and Paramedics) to maintain on time performance to and from appointments. Foresee challenges with upcoming schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) and communicate with personnel to fill voids in the schedule. Schedule staff appropriately by understanding their availability, while taking into account the needs of the company and creating a mutually beneficial schedule for all parties. Orient new hires by matching them with their FTO (Field Training Officer) based on both of their individual availability and to ensure the trainee receives their training in an acceptable time frame. Controls and manages PTO, Shift Changes, SWAPs, Call Outs, etc for all field staff. Oversees all hours to moderate overtime and be sure employees meet their minimum hour requirement. Manage short staffing challenges by finding personnel who will pick up those hours and negotiate acceptable terms for all involved. Be proficient at utilizing scheduling software and utilize the program to its fullest to create efficient scheduling of personnel to support the company's needs.
