About The Position

EverNest Home Care is hiring in-home caregivers to provide non-medical care to older adults and people recovering from surgery, injuries, or accidents. Caregivers assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, meals, medication reminders, shopping, housekeeping, and other support. The role calls for compassionate, responsible service in a one-on-one setting and availability for different shifts, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation.
CNA, HHA, or PCA certification and/or commensurate work experience.
Compassionate and supportive manner.
Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
At least one year of experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment.
Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Negative criminal history.
Take pride in providing high-quality care.

Nice To Haves

CPR/BLS/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and feeding assistance.
Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
Help clients with mobility in and around the home and accompany them outside, including to appointments and walks.
Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals, and help with physical therapy exercises.
Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform housekeeping duties and report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
