Weekend Caregiver
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking a part-time weekend in-home caregiver to provide personal care and companionship to clients in their homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Duties include meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, assistance with daily activities and mobility, and accompanying clients to appointments or social outings. The caregiver monitors and reports changes in clients’ health, behavior, or needs and communicates with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care. The role requires availability for at least two weekend days per month. Shifts range from one to 12 hours. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour based on experience. The posting also lists compensation of $19–$22 per hour. Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
- Availability to work two weekend days per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and other daily activities.
- Provide physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
- Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
