About The Position
Umpqua Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven part-time Admissions Coordinator to join their team to support weekend coverage. This role is crucial in supporting patients during one of the most important transitions in their lives. The center is part of Volare Health, a network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers across multiple states, and aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents, their families, and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in healthcare management, marketing, or related field.
- Previous experience as a CNA or healthcare worker strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC, PCC, or similar EMR systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate room readiness with nursing, maintenance, and housekeeping teams.
- Review and manage admissions referrals through EPIC, AIDA, and faxed systems.
- Ensure a smooth and welcoming admissions experience for residents and families.
- Collaborate with the admissions director, DON, and administrator to maintain census goals.
- Support customer service, documentation, and regulatory processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and occasional on-call/weekend duties.
