About The Position

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking a part-time Weekend Activity Helper to supervise students during weekend activities. This role involves ensuring student safety and adherence to policies in various settings, including on-campus and off-campus locations. The employee will be responsible for supervising students during activities, assisting with setup and cleanup, and transporting students as needed. This position requires effective communication, good judgment, and the ability to complete required documentation.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to drive a state of South Carolina vehicle.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must have the ability to hear, speak and understand English.
Must have effective communication skills.
Must be able to use a computer and Microsoft suite for reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

Supervise students during weekend activities.
Supervise students in an activity setting, in the school gym, Activity room and off campus.
Follow all departmental and school policies.
Use good judgement and safety protocols.
Supervise students in Activity Room.
Assist with activities.
Set up and cleanup activities.
Supervise students participating in on-campus and off-campus activities, as assigned.
Transport students around campus as needed.
Transport students to activities, both on and off campus using a state vehicle.
Complete all required documentation.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
