About The Position

The PT Weekday Activity Helper is responsible for supervising students during weekday activities, assisting with student supervision as needed, and reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Residential Life and Director of Residential Life. The role involves supervising students in various settings including the school gym, activity room, and off-campus locations, while adhering to all departmental and school policies. The employee must exercise good judgment and follow safety protocols. The work environment can vary depending on the assigned activity or task, potentially including outdoor work, indoor work, and transporting students in state vehicles. Computer proficiency is required for reporting purposes. Please note that this employee will not work on extended break student departure days, student return days, and extended breaks.

Requirements

High School diploma
18 years of age
Valid driver's license
Willing to drive a state of South Carolina vehicle
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Able to use a computer and Microsoft suite
Able to hear, speak and understand English
Effective communication skills

Responsibilities

Supervise students during weekday activities.
Assist with student supervision as needed.
Supervise students in an activity setting, in the school gym, Activity room and off campus.
Follow all departmental and school policies.
Use good judgment and safety protocols.
Supervise students in Activity Room.
Assist with evening activities.
Assist with students with TILL time (student requires study time).
Set up and clean-up activities.
Supervise students participating in on-campus and off-campus activities, as assigned.
Transport students around campus as needed.
Transport students to activities, both on and off campus using a state vehicle.
Complete required documentation.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
