About The Position

The Weekend Activity Assistant supports activity programming for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care at Ariel Pointe in Sachse, Texas. The role focuses on creating engaging experiences and helping residents feel welcomed and connected to the community. The position also involves resident transportation, event preparation, activity documentation, and helping ensure compliance with residents’ rights regulations. New hires must complete screening required by state regulations, and residency in the state where the community operates is a condition of employment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
A compassionate spirit and enthusiasm for senior care.
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect and engage with residents.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Basic understanding of computer programs.

Nice To Haves

A degree in psychology or kinesiology is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
Use the community vehicle to transport residents as needed.
Educate, train, and encourage team members on personalized activity opportunities.
Meet and greet each resident upon move-in to foster community bonding.
Decorate common areas for special events and holidays.
Take attendance and photographs of daily activities.
Understand and adhere to regulations regarding residents’ rights.
Attend training sessions and engage in continuous learning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
