About The Position

The State Hygienic Laboratory (SHL), Iowa’s Environmental and Public Health Laboratory, at the University of Iowa, under contract with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, has an exciting full-time opportunity for an IT Support Analyst in the Coralville, Iowa facility. The primary function of the position is to provide customer support for the SHL’s web portal clients. Support services include provisioning and deprovisioning client accounts, resetting account passwords, and assisting clients with web portal use. Troubleshoot client issues and referring issues to the appropriate technical group.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with Help Desk Support
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, technical problem solving, and analyzing system specifications
  • Ability to perform tasks that require accuracy and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
  • Experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Knowledge of public health programs
  • Ability to contribute to a successful team-oriented work environment
