About The Position

The Web First Press Operator operates web press machines and auxiliary equipment and plays an essential role in the company. This is a leadership role that assists in directing press team members’ work activities to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals. The operator guides and develops the crew, supports supervisors with employee feedback, promotes safety and teamwork, and maintains assigned equipment and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator is preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and foster its growth and development.
• Knowledge of press setup and maintenance procedures.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Basic computer skills.
• Self-motivation, reliability, and a quality- and safety-oriented approach.
• Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment.
• Guide the crew to meet and exceed production standards.
• Provide ongoing training and development for team members.
• Promote, enforce, and sustain safety, and identify ways to improve operations.
• Assist supervisors in providing feedback for employee evaluations.
• Facilitate teamwork within crews and between shifts.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
