About The Position

The Web First Press Operator operates and maintains web press machines and auxiliary equipment. This leadership role helps direct press team members’ work to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met. The operator also supports team development, safe work practices, teamwork, and the upkeep and maintenance of assigned equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to lead a team and foster its growth and development.
• Knowledge of press setup and maintenance procedures.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Basic computer skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and quality- and safety-oriented.
• Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment.
• Guide the crew to meet and exceed production standards.
• Provide ongoing training and development for team members.
• Promote, enforce, and sustain safety practices and identify ways to improve operations.
• Assist supervisors by providing feedback for employee evaluations.
• Facilitate teamwork within crews and between shifts.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
