About The Position

We are looking for a Web Engineer to join our team. As a Web Engineer, you will lead the web development process and build products from inception to deployment. We also work closely with cross-functional teams like design, product management, and internal platforms to deliver high-impact features within multidisciplinary product teams. This individual will be helping solve challenges on, a web first, high-performance and world-class trading product centered on the web. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY or Toronto, ON office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time professional experience with modern Web standards, technologies, and frameworks
• Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
• Obsessed with building a best-in-class developer experience
• Have a track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
• Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, performant products that leverage technologies like React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS
• Own and drive features from inception and design to implementation and launch, being the web expert on your team
• Build and improve tools to support Robinhood's operations and platforms, providing leverage across the company
• Collaborate with design and product experts to rapidly iterate and ship financial products
• Build frameworks and abstractions to materially accelerate and empower other developers
