About The Position

GCI is seeking a Web Developer SME to provide end-to-end digital accessibility expertise for customer software and systems. The role ensures information and communication technology products—including web applications, desktop software, mobile apps, and user interfaces—comply with Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and FAR 39.2 standards. Accessibility is integrated into every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The position reviews design artifacts and evaluates wireframes, design systems, color contrast, focus states, component libraries, and interaction flows. It establishes accessibility guidelines within the customer's core design system, conducts automated and manual testing, provides remediation guidance, issues formal pass/fail compliance sign-offs at software build milestones, and develops a reference architecture for adoption across customer applications and systems. The role works with design, engineering, product, and other stakeholders and may provide accessibility training. Core hours are 0900 to 1500. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
