We are currently looking for a 'Web Developer' to strengthen our Cronos Europa Team. The Web Developer will be part of the Website Management unit and will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of the European institution's websites as well as of all supporting applications and platforms essential to ensure the publication of multilingual content on the internet. Location: Near-site (accessible within 2 hours from Brussels) - Hybrid.

Requirements

  • You have a Master's degree
  • Strong experience in modern web development with JavaScript / TypeScript, React and Node.js.
  • Experience building applications with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Astro or similar.
  • Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) (Strapi, Jahia, or comparable platforms).
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern styling approaches (responsive design, component-based styling).
  • Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with build and packaging tools (NPM, webpack, Vite).
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Maven modules, Nexus).
  • Basic database knowledge, including relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Affinity for agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Team spirit, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Discretion and integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience developing with Strapi.
  • Experience designing content models and improving editor experience.
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR).
  • Experience working in multi-site or multi-tenant platform.
  • Understanding of web security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Programming of software applications.
  • Proposition of trending software solutions and applications, best suited to the functional and technological needs.
  • Modelling, testing and integrating solutions into online environment.
  • Monitoring for the purposes of corrective and evolutionary maintenance.
  • Managing and coordinating workshops and project documentation.
  • Transfer of knowledge to the development team.
  • Constant dialogue and support to the editorial team and conception team.
  • Ensure websites and software meet non-functional requirements (quality, security, performance, scalability, maintainability etc.)
