About The Position

This role involves working with Program Managers on specific projects related to the coordination and production of e-commerce sites. The Web Developer I will be responsible for implementing website designs, maintaining site assets, testing functionality, and troubleshooting issues to ensure a seamless user experience. The position requires a general knowledge equivalent to a 4-year college degree and 1-3 years of related experience. The role also involves updating documentation, coordinating launches, and participating in client presentations.

Requirements

  • General knowledge equivalent to 4 years of college.
  • One to three years of related experience.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic web content management skills.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer.
  • Typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.
  • Answering phone calls and communicating with customers via email.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
  • Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
  • Interaction with team members and possibly occasional interactions with customers in person, via phone, or email.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong project management skills preferred.
  • Experience developing with React, NextJS, and SASS.
  • General understanding of database management is a plus.
  • Industry certification at the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) level.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand project requirements.
  • Configure program-specific aspects in the ERP system.
  • Clone and modify a universal base store with a focus on responsive design.
  • Maintain site assets within the asset management system.
  • Implement website design according to the prototype provided by the Web Design Team.
  • Centralize project-related communication with the Program Manager.
  • Analyze technical questions and escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure web design matches the prototype and address compatibility issues.
  • Conduct website functionality testing and collaborate with the Web Technician and Program Manager to enhance site functionality and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot system and site implementation issues.
  • Coordinate the launch plan and secure necessary technical setups, such as Network Address Translation and digital certificates.
  • Update procedural and platform-specific documentation.
  • Perform site maintenance and functionality edits as needed.
  • Utilize and assist in the use of a centralized project management application.
  • Participate in client presentations and perform related duties as assigned.
  • Continually learn new development skills utilizing various educational resources.
